This morning, I began the process of establishing Restoration Project as a non-profit. Wait. ResProj isn’t “not for profit”? Well, it is. We are. But not according to the state. We aren’t officially registered as a non-profit, though all signs point to us being one. That said, the process of becoming official should be a fairly painless one. If we go the non-profit corporation route, we will need to establish articles of incorporation as well as a board of directors, among other things—all really formal, mostly boring stuff.
The first step in this whole process, of course, is research. Over the next, few weeks, we hope to take more formal steps; and hopefully, before the year’s end, we can have all of the pieces in place to make things official.
Thanks for your support!
