So What’s *Your* Favorite Hymn?

Many of us have a favorite hymn or hymns. I have mine. My all-time favorite hymn is Come Thou Fount. So what’s yours? We want to know what you like and why you like it. Does the hymn appeal to you because of the music, the lyrics, its history, or a combination of the three? We’re especially on the look-out for hymns that have special meaning for those of you out there who listen to us and to other groups like us.

If the lyrics of a particular hymn strike you – pierces straight to your heart – but you’re not sold on its music, we’d like a crack at changing up the melody and/or music and see if you like what we come up with.
